SERENGALE VINEYARD

Just outside Beechworth, on 60 acres of rolling hills, set in ancient granitic soil is Serengale Vineyard. Gayle Taylor is the qualified winemaker and together with Serena Abbinga, who qualified in Viticulture, founded the vineyard in 1999 with their winery and cellar door established in 2015.  The vineyard uses its aspect, the ancient soil and cool climate, to produce slow ripening, full flavoured grapes allowing Gayle and Serena to create superb red and white wines.  Recently their 2019 Chardonnay was recognised by the Halliday Wine Companion receiving a Gold rating of 95 points and their special release 2019 Row 16 Chardonnay was awarded 96 points.

The cellar door, which is in the winery,  is open by appointment every day and to the public from September until the Queens Birthday weekend in March.  Bookings are essential if you want to meet the winemaker and viticulturalist.  Our wines are all begin their journey in our vineyard.  Sample our Serengale Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Rose, Merlot, Cabernet Merlot and Shiraz in the ambience of where it is created.  You can also book a cheese platter to accompany your tasting experience- just ring 0428585348 to book.
