With so much of the High Country able to be explored from the comfort of your car, it may come as a surprise just how many different touring routes await. Some are iconic, main roads, taking us over long distances, through a variety of landscapes, tourist towns and alpine resorts. Others are shorter and less travelled, allowing us to discover hidden gems, like historic gold mining areas, mountain huts and stunning natural features.
