GOBOAT

Be your own captain on a GoBoat in the first location outside Europe to offer the GoBoat experience. Canberrans and visitors alike can hire a self-drive, sustainable, electric picnic boat to enjoy Lake Burley Griffin, with up to eight people on-board.  

In our 1^st year, more than 10,000 people enjoyed a GoBoat experience. Be the captain of your own boat, chart your own adventure, and choose your own crew. GoBoats can be operated by anyone over the age of 18. No previous boating experience or a boat licence required.  You don’t even have to bring your own life jacket – we supply all the safety equipment. 

The boats are powered by silent, electric engines, and designed to create a sociable atmosphere.
