Beechworth celebrates its gold history with a street parade featuring a re-enactment of politician Daniel Cameron’s ride through the town on his horse shod with horseshoes of gold in 1855.  This free festival, run for the community, by volunteers, includes a variety of live entertainment (The Baker Boys Band, Pete Denahy & Band), didgeridoo making demonstration and chance to play a didgeridoo, loads of kids’ activities, Easter egg hunt on Sunday, Rotary markets and Grand Parade on Saturday, superb local food, wine and beer and a long list of other things to see and do.
