NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY

Come face to face with Australian identity, history, culture, creativity and diversity at the home of portraiture.

Focussing on both artists and sitters, the national collection of Australian portraits reflect the breadth and energy of Australian culture and endeavour, and collectively define who we are.

Entry to the permanent collection is free of charge and donations are welcomed. Galleries, café & shop are on one level and provide access for wheelchairs, strollers and assistance dogs are welcome.

The National Portrait Gallery is open daily from 10am-5pm (except 25 December)

The Portrait Café is open 9am-4.30pm & Portrait Gallery Store from 10am-5pm.
