Immerse yourself within this majestic 5000 acre alpine cattle station, that lies at an altitude of between 1000 & 1300 metres and brings refreshing summers and crisp winters with occasional snowfalls.  The current custodians of Fontenoy have lived on this remarkable land for 3 generations and believe in farming practices that promote sustainability and long term health of their animals and the land.

Enjoy the freedom of having 3km of private Murrumbidgee River access to yourself for chasing trout or just wandering along the bank, reading a book and relaxing with a picnic.  Fontenoy is the perfect base for watersports on iconic Lake Eucumbene and for fishing in the myriad of mountain streams that wander across this spectacular part of the High Country.

Fontenoy is around a ten minute drive to the small town of Adaminaby and offers two cottages for accommodation, one simply called The Cottage & the other The Shearers’ Quarters.

The Cottage is a renovated 1830’s cottage with views across the farm and consists of 3 Bedrooms (sleeps 6) – 1 Queen bed, 1 double, 2 singles (or king on request).  The Shearers’ Quarters is the original accommodation for the shearers when Fontenoy was a sheep property.  It’s a charming 1830’s 4 bedroom house (sleeps 8) – 2 Queen beds and 2 singles.  Both feature:

  • Quality linen supplied, comfy beds, electric blankets
  • Combustion fireplace
  • Outdoor seating, firepit & BBQ
