With events including the Canberra Balloon Spectacular, Enlighten Illuminations, Skyfire, Symphony in the Park, Canberra Day & Lights! Canberra! Action!, the Enlighten Festival is a great reason to visit Canberra in early Autumn.  Enlighten Illuminations (1-11 March) transforms some of the most loved & iconic buildings in Canberra with stunning architectural projections shining light on some of Australia’s most iconic attractions.  Enjoy local flavours & live music. The Balloon Spectacular (9-17 March) sees each day start around sunrise with pilots inflating their balloons on the lawns of Old Parliament House before ascending into the sky (weather conditions permitting).  Lights! Canberra! Action! (8 March) is where you can watch the films created by Canberra’s talented film makers at an outdoor screening. Symphony in the Park (10 March) is one of Enlighten’s most popular events as the Canberra Symphony Orchestra performs in iconic Commonwealth Park. Enjoy a relaxing night of great tunes and delicious food.  Canberra Day (11 March) celebrates Canberra turning 109! Including great food and great tunes it’s sure to be a wonderful celebration. Skyfire (16 March) sees live entertainment preceding a magnificent fireworks display over Lake Burley Griffin, set to a soundtrack broadcast on Hit 104.7 & Mix 106.3.
