The Taste of the High Country

Delatite Wines was established in 1982 by the Ritchie Family on their land overlooking Mt Buller at an altitude of 450 metres. Following biodynamic principles and with a cool ripening period, further strengthening the varietal flavours and characteristics, the Ritchie’s specialise in cool climate wines and invite you to visit their Cellar Door.

The Cellar Door showcases their award winning wines and a delicious menu using local High Country produce where possible and is open daily, 10am – 5pm (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Good Friday, & Anzac Day morning). The kitchen is open 11am – 4pm daily.

5 course Degustation Dinners are featured Friday & Saturday nights – bookings essential!

Throughout the year, Delatite Wines hold popular events. One of these takes Guests into the nearby Alpine National Park, for ‘Walk Up An Appetite’. After a leisurely bushwalk along the pristine Howqua River to the family’s own mountain hut, Ritchie’s Hut, for billy tea and scones, Guests return to the starting point to enjoy a BBQ lunch of local produce and Delatite Wine.
