Since the first Chrismont vine was planted in 1980, owners Arnie and Jo have been celebrated for their diverse range of wines, crafted from Mediterranean and classic European varietals grown in their cool-climate vineyards of Cheshunt and Whitfield.
Hospitality runs deep in their family, which inspired the opening of a state-of-the-art food and wine centre in 2015, positioned on a ridge of their breathtaking Upper King Valley estate. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed and seated in the contemporary restaurant, which features floor-to-ceiling windows that frame stunning views of the Black Ranges and the prized vineyards below. Dining can be enjoyed individually or shared, with a menu inspired by the couple’s northern Italian and Sicilian heritage.
The experience continues beyond the restaurant; the adjoining Cellar Door offers a wide selection of classic and emerging wine varietals for tasting. Winemaker Warren Proft crafts the wines, including Prosecco, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Fiano, Chardonnay, Aglianico, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Barbera, Shiraz, and more. Chrismont’s renowned hospitality extends to their visitor accommodation.
Guests can choose from several options: the new king-size deluxe Retreat Studios designed for couples seeking luxury and relaxation, the new 137 Stay at Chrismont homestead ideal for family or friend groups looking for tranquillity and space, and the original Guest House, which offers value for money and an idyllic setting to explore the King Valley with family and friends. Cellar Door: Open 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., 7 days a week. No bookings required.
Restaurant: Open Friday to Tuesday, 12 pm – 2:30 pm. Bookings are essential
