DESCRIPTION:Explore the Snowy Mountains on this trek along the Australian Alps Walking Track with The Adventure Gene. Visit historic alpine huts\, spot native alpine wildflowers and summit Australia’s highest peak\, Mt Kosciuszko.  Escape the crowds on this 8 day adventure through the heart of Australia’s high country. Summit iconic peaks\, visit historic alpine huts and walk along alpine ridgelines as you traverse the high plains of Kosciuszko National Park.  This trip follows the Australian Alps Walking Track (AAWT)\, 113km from Kiandra (NSW) to Dead Horse Gap (NSW). As Australia’s premiere long-distance alpine bushwalk\, the AAWT connects some of Australia’s finest alpine terrain\, providing hikers with access to some of the most remote parts of the Australian Alps.  All gear and meals\, snacks and hot drinks provided.
