Bogong Village is a beautiful place to stay, located in the foothills of the Victorian Alps, halfway between Mt Beauty and Falls Creek. Originally built for the SEC workers of the Kiewa hydroelectric scheme the village is nestled in the side of a valley that overlooks the picturesque (man-made) Lake Guy. The combination of Alpine National Park, historical building and European style gardens make it a unique destination, there is nothing else like it in the region. The area itself offers a wide range of activities including fishing, bush walking, cycling, historical drives, and of course skiing.
Bogong Village offers a variety of cottages for holiday accommodation close to the region’s most spectacular tourist sites – a great location for all seasons! There are 27 dwellings available that include a 1 room studio apartment perfect for a “couples getaway”, smaller cabins for 3-5 guests, several 3 bedroom houses that sleep up to 6, suitable for families and even 3 houses that sleep 8 guests. The quality and styles range from 2.5 star rustic lodgings to lovely 3.5 and 4 star renovated houses with spas, fireplaces and amazing views!
Bogong Village is approximately 400 kilometres/4.5hour drive from Melbourne and approximately 120km from Albury and the NSW border. It is located one and a half hours drive in from the Hume Highway, the main Melbourne to Sydney route.
